The 480i IP phone is available for use with Asterisk system in 2 flavors. There is a SIP version which works quite well out of the box. The Message Waiting, Caller ID, Transfer, Hold and Conference buttons all work. It also has 4 line buttons that work quite nicely for juggling multiple calls.
The MGCP version has the potential to offer developers more control over the phone however. Currently, the MGCP support with Asterisk is very limited but we're hoping the Asterisk community will embrace the RFC 3149 support we have in the phone which allows for such business features as intercom, BLF |
